pplications are now open for the 2021 NEXTEUK Summer School, co-funded by the European Commission and organised in partnership with the Jean Monnet Centre of Montreal, « Researching post-Brexit and (post-) Covid EU-UK Relations: What impact on Policies, Methods and Theories? ». The UK withdrawal from the European Union (EU) is potentially opening an era of changes with strong implications for EU and British policies, but also for theories and methods that can be used to study them. The virtual Summer School will focus on the areas of the NEXTEUK research project: (i) historical achievements of the EU-UK relationship (ii) successes and challenges of the EU-UK relationship (iii) the future of the EU-UK relationship (iv) the impact on the British and the EU policies, polities and politics.

The NEXTEUK PhD Virtual Summer School offers an intensive, multidisciplinary (political science, international relations, law, business and management etc.) and participatory programmeat an advanced academic level, in which PhD students and early career researchers interested in the Brexit process and the EU-UK relationship will be provided a stimulating environment for intellectual exchange and academic training.
