The Fall of the Berlin Wall – History and Perspective

On the thirtieth anniversary of the fall of the Wall, the Réseau québécois d’études post-soviétiques, the Association des Étudiants Arméniens de l’ Université de Montréal (AÉAUM), the Centre Jean Monnet de Montréal / Jean Monnet Centre Montréal (CJMM) and CAIUM – Comité des Affaires internationales de l’Université de Montréal, invite you, on November 14, to an evening conference on the retrospective of the fall of the communist bloc in Central and Eastern Europe.

On the program of our evening conference, two major events are planned:

  • A round table: In what context did the Berlin Wall collapse? (4:00 pm – 5:30 pm, room C-2059 of the Carrefour des Arts et Sciences)
  • A major conference: What have been the different political trajectories of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe? (6pm-8pm, B-2245, Pavillon Jean-Brillant).

The event will be held in French. Please note that participation in the roundtable is free of charge and that the cost of attending the major conference is $1.
