The conference will take place from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the University of Montreal, 3200 Jean-Brillant Street, Room B-3250.

The conference will be in French. No registration is required.

Abstract:

The frameworks regulating lobbying practices often emerge in response to scandals related to influence trafficking. This was the case for Quebec, which now boasts ‘one of the most comprehensive legislations’ in the world, according to a recent report by the OECD. In the European Union, the events of the ‘Quatargate’ have reignited the debate on the regulation of interest representation. This roundtable aims to discuss the current regulation of lobbying in these different systems, as well as the future of such legislation.
